William Andrew Rose, an autistic entrepreneur, encourages students diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder and their parents to “Never Give Up”, during his first speaker event at the Lantana Branch of the Palm Beach County Library in South Florida.
His memoir, “Amazing Grace, Amazing Gifts”, was written to thank individuals who inspired him to overcome the many obstacles he faced along his journey.
(LAKE WORTH, FLORIDA, MAY 25, 2022–) William Andrew Rose has faced many challenges, especially in the area of communication and executive functioning. Despite the impact on his ability to effectively communicate with others, through faith he has persevered. Diagnosed at the age of two with Autism Spectrum Disorder, he has overcome numerous challenges to become a motivational speaker, and inspire others through his book “Amazing Grace, Amazing Gifts”. His focus– high school, and college students diagnosed with a disability.
His hope– to encourage others to conquer their fears and follow their dreams. On April 9th, at the Lantana Branch of the Palm Beach County Library, he shared his journey and encouraged students who attended to “never give up”. Parents of children diagnosed with autism, library patrons, friends and family members also attended the event. His book also includes community resources to assist parents with navigating a complex social service system. William is requesting that all libraries across the country carry his book, to make it easily accessible for anyone in need of services and encouragement.
William’s story will captivate many as he shares his journey about his struggles from an early age to his college years. William faced many challenges as he pursued higher education, however, he did not allow this to detour him from his goal. William completed his general education courses at a private university and later transferred to a local state college. A 2019 dean’s list graduate with an Associate of Science Degree in Graphic Design Technology from Palm Beach State College, he is an author, speaker, illustrator, writer, member of Toast Masters International and a Junior Board Member of the Unicorn Children’s Foundation in Boca Raton Florida. He also volunteers weekly at his home church, Christ Fellowship in Palm Beach Gardens Florida, where he has assisted for the past five years with sound, lighting, and presentation. He hopes to one day work with Apple, Inc. as a Apple Retail Specialist.
